Raise Funds for Us While Caring for Our Earth

Burwood Neighbourhood House has just joined up as a partner in Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme (CDS). This scheme lets people return eligible bottles and cans for a 10-cent refund each, encouraging recycling and reducing litter across our state. As we are a partner, you can now raise funds for Burwood Neighbourhood House simply by collecting any container that says “10c refund at collection points in participating states”. Once you have collected a garbage bag full of these eligible containers, here’s three ways you can help raise funds for us, while caring for the Earth:

• Bring it to Burwood Neighbourhood House. It’s that simple! We’ll do the rest, each eligible container will be a 10c donation to support our activities.

• Bring it to the Burwood CDS depot, 10/21 Huntingdale Rd, Burwood. When you get there, have a chat to Sophie, who will guide you through the process of converting your eligible containers to a donation. You will need to tell Sophie the CDS code for Burwood Neighbourhood House: C2000062073.

• Bring it to any CDS collection point that is in the East collection zone (here’s the map), and quote our CDS code C2000062073.

NOTE: Please be sure to rinse all containers, and remove all lids. This prevents pest infestations 🪳🪳🪳 at Burwood Neighbourhood House while we hold the containers.
