Breadcrumbs @ Burwood Neighbourhood House

Breadcrumbs is a group of volunteers that collects end-of-day bread from local bakeries, packages them, then distributes them to those facing food insecurity.

Bread packaging sessions are held by Breadcrumbs volunteers in the evening on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays here at Burwood Neighbourhood House. The packaged bread is then distributed to Burwood Neighbourhood House (but of course), Power Neighbourhood House, Ashburton Uniting Church, Monash-Oakleigh Community Support and Information Service (MOCSIS) and a few direct drops to those who can’t access the open pantries
