Open Pantry @ Burwood Neighbourhood House

The Burwood Neighbourhood House Open Pantry is available 24/7 for those in our community who are facing food insecurity. The pantry is located outside by the front door of the building and is kept stocked with a small supply of non-perishible items.

We ask that patrons take a maximum of four items from the pantry as there are several people who rely on community support. However, we often have a surplus of bread, so please take as much of that as you’d like!

We are always accepting and incredibly grateful for donations of non-perishibles, including canned food, boxed milk, jar sauce, rice and grains, and biscuits. If you would like more information on the food bank and its current stock please feel free to contact us.

Update: In July 2025, sadly Food Bank Victoria withdrew their support 😔. We now rely more than ever on private food donations, please bring your excess pantry items over!
